Yes, for many years large and small analytical instrument companies, particularly those involved with life sciences and related applications, have been coming to INTA for plating and other services/products. Our technical staff includes some highly trained and knowledgeable scientists including Dr. Lynch, Dr. Honey and Dr. Bhiwandker.
Yes, INTA offers metallized and bare ceramic products. Some of our more popular ceramic and related options include:
Aluminum oxide (AlO or Al2O3) – various grades from 92-99.9% purity
Beryllium oxide (BeO)
Aluminum nitride (AlN)
Sapphire
Zirconia
Boron nitride (BN)
Quartz
Lava
Steatite
Many others
Lead times can be as short as 2-3 weeks for flat substrates with a thickness less than 0.080” (approx). Our pricing is competitive and our material is very high quality. INTA’s sister company, Superior Technical Ceramics of Vermont, allows us to better serve customers and offer one-stop solutions.

The optimal coating depends on several factors such as:
Base material
Application
Environment
Lifetime
Cosmetic requirements
Other
Each project should be evaluated individually. Contact INTA Technologies for further details and assistance selecting a proper coating.
All of INTA’s coatings can be applied to titanium including:
Nickel
Copper
Tin
Gold
Silver
Platinum

Yes, INTA supplies metallized BeO substrates and also brazed assemblies containing BeO subcomponents.
Adhesion strengths for coatings on AlN are less robust in comparison to an oxide such as AlO but INTA does offer select services for aluminum nitride applications such as metallizing. INTA supplies AlN with short lead times and components made to order. Typically, the AlN we sell are flat pieces less that 4-5 inches in width/length and .080” thick or less but exceptions occur.

Design for manufacturability (DFM) is key to project success. Count on INTA Technologies to provide guidance during the design and prototype phase. Making changes late in a design cycle can cause problems, include INTA from the onset of your project to ensure cost-savings and manufacturability. Contact Blake Kneedler, Engineering Estimator to discuss your project and how DFM can help. 408-748-9955 x113
